If course activities have a date on them they should appear in your calendar.  Is that not happening?

Assignments show up for to do but I can't make my own

 @wallace_ma ‌, are you an instructor or a student? Students cannot create assignments on the calendar. They can, however, add events and to-do items to their calendars, as detailed in How do I add an event to my calendar as a student? and How do I add a to-do item in the Calendar as a student? If you have already added to-do items, you will be able to view them on the calendar as long as your personal calendar is enabled in the right panel: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10576-4212710322

Please ask Canvas Support to find out why that is the case; How do I get help with Canvas as a student?‌ provides general instructions, but your school district may have customized the support pathway for its students, and in that case use the support links provided by the school to request assistance.
