Use case: 20 students take a quiz. Question number one is pulled randomly from an item bank containing 30 questions. This item bank is only used for question number one.
It is desired that students do not pull the same question from the item bank given that the item bank has more questions than students.
Is there a way to accomplish this?

While you can set a quiz item to draw questions from a bank randomly, it is truly random and two students may get the same question. The odds of this happening decrease as the numbers of items in the bank increase, but it never reaches zero.
There is no way to set a Canvas quiz so that it pulls 20 different questions from a 30 item bank.
You could request the as a new feature by in Idea Conversations, or support an existing idea. A quick review of Idea Conversations turned up some ideas you might find helpful......
Or you can create a new idea conversation..........
- How do idea conversations work in the Canvas Community?
- How do I create a new idea conversation in the Canvas Community?
Good luck,
