Hello,

I an having issues with Cookies blocking access to course materials. I followed directions unsuccessfully. Browser is Safari with cookies enabled.

Please advice.

Hi Miguel,

At my school we have found that the #chrome‌ web browser seems to work the best with Canvas and our third party tools. If you can I would recommend downloading chrome and see if using it corrects the issue you're having.

For a simple demonstration, add an HTML file such as the following to your course Files. When you disable third-party cookies, the page will fail to display with a message "Access Denied. Access to this page is limited to authorized users. You currently do not have permission to view this page."

At the very least, a better message should be display indicating that the issue is not that the user does not have permission, but that third-party cookies need to be enabled. (Why?)
