Could you please give us some more information about your question?  Are you a student?  Are you an instructor?  Where are you wanting to upload a photo?  To your Canvas account to use as an avatar image?  To a page of content within your course?  As an attachment to an assignment?  Any of these details will help us know how to better help you with your question...thanks!

I am a student and on our assignment I need to upload a pic along with my assignment.  So, I go to reply, type in my assignment but how do I uplad a pic from here?  Do I have to send my assignment and then repost a pic?  Can't I do it together?

Hi @MonicaEspejo !

You should utilize the RCE, or Rich Content Editor. 

There is a button at the top labeled "Insert". Click that button, then click image > upload image. You will then select a file from your device and then you can reply to the discussion as normal.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to access your school's Canvas environment or your course, and I don't want to give you incorrect information on what the requirements are for your assignment.  I can, however, provide you with a written Guide from the Community site on how you can attach or embed images.  I would highly recommend that you reach out to your instructor for the exact requirements and directions on what you are supposed to do, though.
