[ARCHIVED] update canvas to new semester courses

My canvas is still showing my spring classes.  How do I get my summer semester to show up?  Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Every school does things a bit differently, so I won't be able to speak for anything that your school may or may not have established as far as transferring content from one course to another.  At my school, we work with folks from our IT department to get our Canvas course shells and enrollments sent from our Banner SIS (Student Information System) to Canvas each semester.  So, for example, if the University of Memphis had a similar setup, you might find that you already have access to your up-coming course within Canvas by going to the "Courses" >> "All Courses" screen.  How do I view all my Canvas courses as an instruct... - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)  But, if you don't see your course listed on the "All Courses" screen, this means that you're not yet enrolled in that course, and you'd need to talk with someone at the University of Memphis' Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Learning department so they can get you enrolled.

I just added a course and I kinda thought my canvas page would update automatically but it didn’t and I’m nervous the new course won’t be posted before my first meeting with this new class… is there anyone I can reach out to to get the course posted on my canvas.                            FMC4ME FMCNA

If you are a student or instructor:

If you mean that you just enrolled in a course at your school and are now looking for that course in Canvas, you may need to reach out to your school's Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Learning department to see what their procedure is for getting you enrolled in Canvas.  You might want to check the "Courses" >> "All Courses" screen in Canvas to see if your course is listed there.  If it isn't, then you'll want to contact people at your school who should be able to help.

If you are an instructor:

If by "added a new course" you mean that you just got a brand new blank course shell, you may need to import course content on your own.  Your school's Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Learning department might be better to help you with this, though...as they may have some guidelines already established for copying (importing) course content from one course to another.
