hello, I am trying to upload an image into an announcement, nothing seems to open when I click feature?

Do you mean you cannot embed the picture or you do not see the RCE window for the announcement at all?

when I click the upload image or upload doc, no window appears.

Did you click on the button with an icon of a tiny mountain and sun? That is the button you would like use to upload an image.

yes I did click on that but nothing appeared after, no box from where I got to upload anything

That is weird, in this case, I would close all the opened windows and do a reboot if necessary. I know sometimes, adblocker blocks pop-up windows but I have never encountered problems with image insertion.
