Suppose that the students' answers to a test must be uploaded to Canvas as pdf files. Do they have more than one try? For example, if a student realizes after uploading that he forgot to include page 2 of a 3 page answer in the pdf, can he upload a new pdf containing all three pages? If he can, does the second pdf replace the first (as opposed to both pdfs being submitted)?

Hi @rabier - please see https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-26801-how-do-i-limit-submission-attempts-for-an-assignment to see how to set up the setting for how many times the students may submit. You should be able to access any of the submissions when grading it, it does not overwrite anything.
Thanks,
Tim
