I use video questions in the quizzes I give my ASL students.  Is there a way to take away their controls so they cannot rewind and pause the video?  Right now we are embedding videos from youtube and adding code to not show controls but they can click on the video and go to youtube and see and control the whole video.  I would like to find another way.

I think you'd have to control this at the video source.  Because they are housed in YouTube there isn't anything Canvas can do to control those settings.

I'll change this question to a discussion though in case other Community members have solutions they've discovered that work well with Canvas!

It’s strange for me to answer here because we’ve talked about this issue but thought others might have ideas.

Here is my latest idea:

Our district added Screencast-O-Matic. Import one video to their host, and use their embed, but remove the checkbox for controls. Let’s see if that works. 

I tried this on one of my videos and there was no way to get to the video controls.
