Brightspace (D2L) to Canvas Formulaic Question Issue

Hello everyone. We are currently in process migrating from Brightspace to Canvas. We have many courses with large question banks made up of Formulaic questions. It seems in Canvas that such questions transfer from Brightspace over to Canvas fairly well, but that unlike Brightspace, Canvas doesn't generate variable values on the fly for questions, but instead requires a preset number of potential values to be generated for each question. These preset variable values don't get generated on import, and it seems I have to generate them for every question. Just wondering if there is an en masse way to do this? I am looking at a set of transferred Question Banks with literally hundreds of questions...

Hi Jeff,

Unfortunately I do not have any experience with D2L or with migrating question banks from D2L to Canvas.  What I did do however was share your question into the Migration Strategies user group here in the community.  Hopefully someone who has more D2L experience will see it there.

I am reviewing some of the older questions here in the Canvas Community, and I stumbled upon your question.  I thought I'd check in with you because I noticed that we have not heard back from you since you first posted your question on September 16, 2019.  It seems like you may have stumped Community members with your question.  Like  @scottdennis ‌, I also do not have experience with D2L, so I wouldn't be able to speak to what you're trying to accomplish.  However, I was curious to know if you have been able to find a solution since you first posted this question almost six months ago?  If so, would you be willing to share your findings with us back here in this topic?  Or, if you are still looking for some help with this question, please let us know that as well.  For the time being, I am going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered" (How we keep your questions flowing!‌) because we've not heard back from you and because there hasn't been any new activity in this topic since Scott's reply on September 23, 2019.  However, that won't prevent you or others from posting additional questions and/or comments below that are related to this topic.
