Hi, @mssarah_unfelp . I think this would depend on each student's phone service. If there is a concern, I would recommend the student check with their phone service provider. However, as you say, many people now have phone plans that offer free calling from the US to any number within the US. So you are probably right that there won't be charges.
As an interesting note, it was in response to another post here in the Community that the language in question was added when someone called from Canada, Long Distance Charges with BigBlueButton.
