Can an instructor alter the gradebook history, or is it permanent?

I am a student with a graduate student instructor. My grade was changed and my instructor denied that it has. I unfortunately do not have any pictures of my old grade on my end, so I was hoping that my claims could be substantiated by the gradebook history. However, I fear that the instructor could alter the history itself. Can an instructor change the gradebook history?

I don't believe that an instructor could change the history. 
As an instructor, I would advise you to have a conversation with your instructor. The instructor should be able to explain to you how you earned the current grade that is posted.
