Can groups be formed across different courses?

I work in vocational education and we are looking at opportunities for students across different courses/disciplines to collaborate on projects to enhance work readiness skills. Is there a way to create a group formed from students who are enrolled in different canvas courses?
If needed we can look at options to create a specific course for students working in this program then create sections to form groups within - however if it can be done from their existing courses that would simplify student navigation and teacher management of student progress.

Hi  @nikola_colls  Welcome to the Canvas Community.

I do not think this is possible. However, your idea of using Sections might solve your challenge. 

OR using the same tool eg. padlet could be embedded in the different courses but all students can access the same one from their own courses.

thanks for the info! Yeah I thought it might be a long shot, but Padlet would be perfect if that can share the same info and collaboration updates while embedded in different groups. I’ll give it a test and see how it goes, cheers!
