Canvas annotation confirm box is in the way

I like to hand write annotations on student papers.  Unfortunately, when I start to write something (e.g. "-1"), a box appears above the first pen stroke, blocking me from continuing.  This makes the tool unusable to me.

Is there a way to move the Canvas annotation confirm box?  I want to move it very far away from where I am writing, as I often will write equations and draw diagrams.

If you would like to see the behavior of the SpeedGrader changed when annotating student submissions, you would need to submit that as a Feature Idea so that others here in the Community and Instructure staff can review and evaluate it.  Here are some Guides on how to create a Feature Idea around this suggestion:

As you can see from the above documentation, you may find that a similar idea already exists.  But, if not, you can create one of your own.  You might also want to include a screen shot or two showing an example from your course where this is causing issues for you...being careful not to show any student names/grades.

Sorry that this might not be the answer you were looking for, but hopefully it will give you some direction on how to continue the conversation and your idea.  Good luck!

I will assume that this means that the option does not currently exist.  I have found discussions about this on Future Ideas, so I don't think I will make a new post there.

Before you write a new idea, @Zarquan314 , would you make a screencast demonstrating the behavior and send it to Canvas Support? I ask because, based on what you've described briefly here, I wasn't able to replicate it—but it's possible I'm missing a nuance of the marking/annotation process. Canvas Support will be able to have a look at the screencast and address specific issues in the environment should they discover them, and if they confirm that what you're showing them is designed behavior, they'll then suggest that you create a new idea conversation. General instructions for contacting Canvas Support are in How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor? , and if your school has its own custom pathway to support, use that pathway to initiate the case.

Here is a link to a video. 

The box is right in the way of writing anything above the first penstroke.  I could easily accidentally hit one of the buttons by accident as it just pops in.

I forgot to mention that there should be an accompanying erase tool which, at the very least, can erase penstrokes like in Zoom.
