Corrupted Graphs in Word Documents in Speed Grader

Graphs in Word documents show up incorrectly in the Speed Grader. Here is an example of what I see:

And here is an example of what I see when I download the document and open it up in Word:

The equations for the trend lines disappear in Canvas. Does anybody have any suggestions besides simply telling my students not to submit Word documents? This seems like a flaw in the Canvas software that should be addressed.

I have a similar problem with students submitting Word documents and the SpeedGrader view changes the fonts. I'm a CTE teacher and my class is to teach business documents with Word. I need the submitted documents to not be altered so I can grade the students on the objectives.
