@InstContentTeam When trying to sync grades to PowerSchool, some teachers are reporting that they are finding duplicates of their assignments. Also, even though they are checking the box to not have the assignment included in the final grade it still is. Finally, PowerSchool seems to be defaulting to having 100 points in the "Extra Points" category. Does anyone have any solutions to this or have experienced the same thing?
If there are no extra points given for the assignment, does it matter if there are 100 points available? The Extra Points have no bearing on the assignment points. They would be for extra credit for that assignment.
If the teachers create an assignment in PTP and then sync from Canvas, any assignments with the same name will not sync. Also if an assignment is created in Canvas and then the name is changed sometimes it doesn't sync either.
PTP does not remove assignments that might have been deleted from Canvas. PTP doesn't remove anything really. I created a test assignment and it was in PTP even though I had deleted it from Canvas. I had to delete it in each class for the course it was created in.
I had the same problem with "don't count this assignment toward the final grade". I created a test assignment and it counted on the grade. I do know that changes made in PTP will be overridden every time Canvas syncs. I suppose after the assignment has been synced, the teacher could go into PTP, change the assignment to not count on grade, return to Canvas, and have the assignment not sync anymore.
