Create new sidebar links?

Hi,

I'd like to create new links on the left sidebar (as in, with new names - "Study Guides," "Lecture Outlines," etc.). I might be missing something obvious, but how do I do so?

Canvas does not allow you to create new course menu items natively like other LMSs do.  For example, if you wanted to add a new content area called "Study Guides" or "Lecture Outlines", that can't be done.  You can have LTI integrations publish to the course menu, and one of those LTI apps called Redirect Tool will let you link to external URLs on the course menu.
