Disappearing Text

Hi, I'm an instructor trying to resolve an issue, and I found this inquiry that seemed related. When I created my assignments, I wanted students to submit their answers as text entries, so I clicked on Online and checked the text entry box. When students type in the box and submit to save what they typed, it disappears when they go back to re-submit and work on it again.

Help! I'm lost,

Hello @gain1993 ...

I'm not sure that your interpretation of text entry assignment submissions for students is correct.  Please take a look at this student Guide: How do I submit a text entry assignment?.  After students type their text in the box, they hit the "Submit Assignment" button, and it gets submitted to the instructor right away.  (There is no "Save" button that I am aware of.)  So, if students come back to the assignment later, they could potentially re-submit the text entry assignment, but it would not show their previous submission...again because there is no "Save" button and because the assignment has already been submitted to you.
