Do we need to masquerade each time we need to add a video?

I recently added a video to one of our online orientation courses using the YouTube link feature from the RCE as an admin. But the student role, nor the course designer role could view the video. They were given an Unauthorized error stating they did not have permissions to view the page. The YouTube video is listed as public on the student services' channel.

When I masqueraded as the course designer and added the video...everything worked as it should.

Do we need to masquerade each time we need to add a video? Or is this just related to YouTube?

Sorry that your question has been sitting out here for several years without a response.  Hopefully you've been able to find a solution to your question by now.  In my experience with Studio (formerly Arc), YouTube videos should work fine in courses after they have been added to a Studio library...without the need to masquerade.  I'm hoping that your experience has been the same recently.  If not, I would highly suggest that you reach out to Canvas Support if you've not done so already.  How do I contact Canvas Support? - Instructure Community
