Final letter grade for student viewing

Is there a way to let students see the final total grade as a letter grade rather than, or in addition to, points or percentage?

Hello zdeb  Would using a grading scheme as explained in this document, How do I use grading schemes in a course?  and How do I enable a grading scheme for a course?, provide what you are looking for?

I have not found that enabling a grading scheme for the course provides a

view of the letter grade to students in the total column. It seems like it

only is visible to instructors, unless there is another setting somewhere

that does this.

Hello again zdeb  Looking at the guides, they do show that a course grading scheme should appear for students at the bottom of their grade view next to their percentage. If you have experienced something different it might be worth contacting Support (see How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor?).  They may be interested in what you have noticed to determine if the system is not functioning as designed.

I found that I was looking in the wrong place for the letter grade. I was

expecting it to appear at the bottom of the student grade view along with

percentage and points out of points. I now see that the letter grade is

visible at the top of the student grade view. Thanks. I think I'm ok

with this now.
