Google Single Sign On Authentication and Lock Down Browser App Issues?

We instituted the Single Sign-On through Google Authentication and our students constantly experiencing a long lag time to log in, that is if they can log in.  While trying to access LockDownBrowser in the LDB App, many of them are stuck in the lag even with the refresh load, which sometimes is not an option.
