Has the pin sidebar option with the New RCE been removed from Canvas?

Hello all, 

I might have missed it but I can't seem to find anything in the community - has the pin sidebar option been removed from the New RCE feature in Canvas BETA? Or indeed if this will be released to production. See associated idea with confirmation of availability in BETA.

Thanks for asking your question. Not sure about beta, but in production (while there is not a pin button/icon) the sidebar currently stays open until you choose to close it. Just tested it out.

Hello @valentinesking, thank you for your response. However It does not answer my query. If you see the images link provided it clearly shows an option to pin the sidebar, my query is, has this been removed? Maybe an Instructure employee could answer this. Thanks.

Hi @Maeve_McCooey , 

Those images appear to be a mock up, they were photoshopped to show what it might look like to have the option to pin the sidebar.  I don't recall that functionality ever actually being released to beta.  The - persistent sidebar until you close - functionality was the final solution Instructure implemented as a response to that idea.
