Horizontal scrolling

The new home page does not fit on my desktop screen and I have to scroll horizontally to see both the left and right hand menus.  This is a serious pain.  Why does is the interface not responsive and can it be changed?

We are seeing this behavior on perhaps one out of 80 to 100 machines at our school, with no rhyme or reason to the discrepancy. We have submitted a ticket, and it got fixed. It's a bug associated with the newest version of Firefox, as far as I know, but support can fix it.

This is not expected behavior!
