I have graded an assignment using highlights and comments, adding them directly to the viewing window on the speed grader window. I have graded over 75% of my class and I am now finding out that my students can not view the highlighted portions of their assignment. I need to know how I can help them see the comments and highlighted portions on the assignment because I do not want to go back and regrade all of the submissions.

Hello @maurera Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thank you for posting your question. This Guide, How do I view annotation feedback comments from my instructor directly in my assignment submission?, should help answer your question. It's also important that your students are using either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox when navigating around the Canvas environment. Some things just don't work as well with Internet Explorer or Edge (which may explain why they aren't seeing your annotations).

Thank you Chris. What a relief. I was just getting ready to start over in changing how I would grade the assignment. I really appreciate this information and I will share the link with my class.

Canvas,
I too just found out that my students can't see my feedback unless they go through the grade book. Is there any way you can make the grade book view and the assignment submission view the same so they can see their feedback no matter how they access it? They should probably get an email with the pdf as well.
This would be huge for student success.
