How do I get canvas to work again?

I have been using internet explorer as my browser since my class started with no issues. Today, when I can log into my usf portal but when I click enter canvas it doesn't allow me to enter the canvas. So, I tried on a different browser, Firefox. I was able to get into the class canvas but the canvas is not working properly. I am unable to load pages fully and unable to post an answer to the discussion question. What's going on??

Hi, @nicolecristelli Welcome to the Canvas Community! Switching away from Internet Explorer is a good first step, as that browser is no longer supported. Here are some other troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check your device compatibility: What are the basic computer specifications for Canvas?
- Check your browser compatibility: Which browsers does Canvas support? As noted, Internet Explorer 11 is not a supported browser. Please make sure that you've also updated Firefox to the most recent version.
- Try a different browser. The latest version of Chrome works great in both Windows and MacOS.
If none of these methods solve the problem, contact Canvas Support. General instructions are in How do I get help with Canvas as a student?, but your school's support setup might vary somewhat, in which case ask your local IT Department for additional troubleshooting assistance.
