Hi. Thank you so much for responding.
I got slightly different instructions from my campus Canvas people.
They suggested simply removing that Syllabus/Course Summary section from items that are displayed in the left column, which is what I did.
However, I now have another bigger problem, but let me explain first.
In my Canvas course, I completely rearranged the Modules from the Master received by our Department.
Since I've been Adjunct Faculty for 10+ years, I have always had the blessings of my Department Chair to conduct my classes the way I see fit.
Anyway, my class is a lecture/lab and I do all the lab work in class together. Therefore, no due dates appear at all.
I simply add the date in Canvas on the day we finish everything in class together.
So, I just found out this morning that -- although I deleted items from the Modules and have now removed the Syllabus/Course Summary section -- EVERYTHING STILL APPEARS WITH DUE DATES IN THE GRADE BOOK.
This is incorrect and I have to change this ASAP. Otherwise, it's terribly confusing for the students.
So, do I now have to go into the grade book and "mute" all those preexisting dated items manually???
That will be tedious, to say the least.
Any insights will be greatly appreciated!!
It seems obvious to me that if/when the Modules section changes, Canvas should update automatically.
Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case.
MANY THANKS!!
