How to Get Total Student Conference Participations in Large Course

Hi folks.  I would like to get analytics (specifically total student participations in conferences) in a large enrollment (3300+ users) course. Anyone have an idea how this information can be generated quickly?

 @hvaughn ​, I'm not sure if I've heard of anyone trying to get this information, but I'm going to share it with the Canvas Developers​ group because I'm guessing it's something you'd need to do on the back-end of Canvas.

Thanks,  @kona   It's something our college needs to report to the state for student performance funding.  We have several online tutoring "labs" for students in math, chemistry, and A&P courses to help them succeed, which should result in reduced withdrawal rates. We've been getting the analytics using your husband's process (which I am very thankful he shared). I was wondering if there was an "easy" or "easier" button.
