How to create course navigation links?

How do I create additional Course Navigation links on the left side?  I want to set up a frequently used links in my class readily available for my students.  Please help

Use the Redirect Tool app from Course Settings > Apps. 

The icon isn't labeled, so use the Filter by name box to search for redirect. It looks like curved blue arrow.

After adding the app, be sure to check the box for Course navigation.

You can add this tool as many times as needed.

Will the redirect tool let me link a page within my Canvas course?  I am trying to add a link in the Global Navigation to the pacing guide in my course.

This is an older question, but I don't see an answer to it.  The answer is yes.  I've been using Canvas for a very short period of time, but I did figure out (with help) how to add a link to something that is in the course.  We just added student resources, a course that our Online Student Navigator created, and I've linked it globally so that it appears in every course, and faculty do not have to link it themselves.
