Idiotic question of the day...
Had I written the questions in the question bank first, then created the quizzes, no problem.
"Untitled Question Bank" has important many (but not all) questions that I generated in my quizzes.
Is there any way to export questions from a quiz into the question bank (or import into) manually?? I have about 150 questions that I need for other assignments written, and now I am looking at recreating each question... ack!
Hope all of you are doing well in these interesting times.
I have exactly the same issue. Hoping for quick response from the Canvas folks.
Are you using Classic quiz or New Quiz?
For Classic quiz, there is a way. In your source course---the one with all your typed up questions, create a quiz with all these questions added in, export this quiz, and import this quiz to your destination course as an QTI import, this quiz will become a testing bank in your destination course.
You can also
Emily, your solution is contingent on IF the import goes in as an unfiled question bank. It doesn’t. It just creates a copy.
Panda, your solution is excessively complicated, but viable for the work I have already done.
How do I put questions in the right type of test bank from the beginning? I thought that by generating my tests in the sandbox that would happen, but it doesn’t.
Hi, Helen,
If you need to create the item banks that are directly importable to New Quiz. you need a test generator and save your tests as QTI 1.2 or 2.0 or above.
I tried Respondus 4, it does not work, since it generates QTI 1.1.3, which is not working with New Quiz. I don't believe ExamView generated QB works either.
