How do you input a "matching" quiz or test into canvas? I'm confused with the left and right blanks when trying to input

Welcome to the Canvas Community!!!
You enter the term in the left column and the correct matching term in the corresponding right column. The Quiz tool then builds a drop down menu off of what you enter in the right column. More information is available here:

Yes, for some reason (inexplicable to me), the person creating the quiz sees the "Answers" column on the left and the "question" on the right, but it is reversed for the student view.
I have a related question: Why are answers to matching questions randomized? I want the answers to always be in the same order. I entered answers labeled A through L, but they show up the drop-down list in various orders. That is extremely confusing and frustrating for students if each time they answer a question, they have to read through the entire list to find an answer, even if it's answer "A"! What is the reasoning behind this?
Since you're asking this question in multiple places, I'll provide the answer in multiple places:
If you don't want them in a randomized order, then use a multiple dropdown question instead of a matching question.
