Message students who have not logged in yet

I just started teaching a course in Canvas today.  Under People, I can see who has logged into the class and who has not.  Is there a way to message all the students who have no logged in yet?  I know I can add their names to a message one by one, but is there a quicker/easier way to contact all of them at once?

Hi, kburkes‌, there is a way from the grade book. That is why I always have some kind of introductory assignment due the first day. Once the due date has passed, I message all of the students who did not complete the assignment. Right.  But I mean not connected to a graded assignment.  Just the log in -- not doing an assignment.

I have been reviewing older question here in the Canvas Community, and I stumbled upon your question.  While I don't really have a solution for you myself, I wanted to check in with you to see if you've had any luck in finding a solution to messaging students who have not logged in on your own.  It looks like  @dhulsey ‌ gave you a work-around solution, but you don't necessarily want it tied to a graded assignment in the Gradebook.  If you've been able to find a different solution on your own, would you be able to share that back here in the Community with us?  Or, if you are still looking for some help with this, please let us know that as well so that someone might be able to assist you.  For now, I am going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered" because there hasn't bbeen any new activity in this topic since March 14, 2018.  However, that won't prevent you or others from posting additional questions and/or comments below that are related to this topic.  I hope that's alright with you, Kate.  Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

I am now having the same issue and came upon this discussion.

Just curious to know what you ended up doing? I really don't want to message 20 students individually!

Next time I'll follow the suggestion above to make a simple assignment due in the first couple of days.

I haven't been able to test this as we don't have New Course and User Analytics in our instance of Canvas yet.
