Missing Feedback!

"View Feedback" button isn't visible. My instructor has left feedback on numerous assignments, yet I am unable to find it. I HAVE read the online tutorials etc. I have used Canvas for years. It used to be visible by the "add a comment section" yet it is now GONE. I have changed settings and margins. It is still gone. I can see his partial notes in "recent feedback" on bottom right corner, yet cannot access full message. HELP. This is for everyone in my current class, so not just me, and not just one certain device. Does our instructor need to do something?? See pic. It is missing in discussion setting and in grades setting and in submission details. Anywhere we cannot find this!!!

Hi  @denisebolsinger ‌ - without seeing the assignment it is hard to tell - but it could be the assignment type not being compatible with docviewer causing the 'view feedback' link to not appear. You've said it was missing is a discussion setting - does this mean you are trying to view feedback for a graded discussion?

Yes. Our instructor leaves discussion feedback. He writes quite a bit and we can’t find it! It can be in assignments or discussions either one. We don’t even care. But just want to find it!

Hi  @denisebolsinger   @jayde_colquhoun  may be right in that it could depend on what type of assignment you are look for feedback on from the instructor.  I, as an instructor, do not have options for leaving feedback on the document itself if the assignment is a discussion or submitted as text entry.  I can markup and leave comments on the document if a file is submitted.  At that time someone would need to use the "view feedback" button you refer to in order to see this feedback.  However, comments left in the larger box on the right side of the screen should always be visible in any graded submission.

If there is an assignment you know your instructor has left feedback on and you cannot see this, I would check that I am using a supported and updated web browser (see Which browsers does Canvas support?) and view the assignment in a couple of different browsers (like Firefox and Chrome).  If none of this works I would contact Canvas Support using one of the options under the question mark icon (see How do I get help with Canvas as a student?).  Support could investigate more deeply what is happening and provide insight into what may be going on.
