We absolutely know what to do - you ask your teacher!
We are the global community of Canvas users, and can only access our own courses and accounts. Honestly, even if I could poke around in your course, I would still answer you the same way - this is a question for your instructor.
This lesson from the Canvas Student Guide might still be helpful, because I suspect that you might have missed some requirement: How do I mark a module item as done for a module requirement? Even so, it might just be that your teacher missed something when setting up the requirements, which is why it is always important to talk to them first.
