The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.
Is there any chance of adding an option to have different versions of the same test under one 'quiz'? For example, if I am giving a unit 1 test, there would be an "A" version and "B" version of the test. Then I could assign each student in the class the version I want them to take, but their scores would all be posted to the same 'unit 1 test' quiz. This would aid test security since students sitting next to each other in computer lab settings commonly look at their neighbors tests to get answers. If their neighbors on either side were taking different versions of the test, they would not be able to gain an advantage from them. Thank you.
Hi there, @kruegerr23 ...
As I read through your question, it almost sounds like this would be a good candidate for a Feature Idea. Would you consider submitting this as a Feature Idea here in the Community so that others could evaluate it to see if it something they would also want to see implemented?
As a side note, Instructure is not really doing any further development on Classic Quizzes ... as it will eventually be depreciated. So, your Feature Idea would have to be for new functionality in New Quizzes. Here are some documents to look through as you formulate your Feature Idea:
I hope these resources will be of help to you. Let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks!
Will do, thank you. I believe I have reposted in the feature ideas section but Im not 100% sure.
