I created a Pinned discussion and want to arrange the posts from newest to oldest instead of the default oldest to newest. Other than clicking and dragging, is there a way to do this?

@bradleyt ,
Unfortunately the answer is no. Pinned items must be manually moved into the order that you want them in. The default Discussions area will order them from most recent activity to oldest.

Regarding your reply "The default Discussions area will order them from most recent activity to oldest."
The discussions in my courses (multiple courses) are not re-ordering consistently. Some of the most recent activity moves to the top, but not all of them. I can't figure out what setting is causing this! It's frustrating my instructors. Please help!
Hi @LynnCagle …
Robbie isn’t in the Community much any more, unfortunately. For those two discussion topics that you highlighted in your screenshot, when did students last reply to those topics?
@Chris_Hofer
I noticed that the ones on bottom do not have a "last replied" memo like the others that have automatically reordered to the top. This is the problem, I'm sure, but I don't know how to fix it.
Yes, I noticed that as well. I’m not sure if the How do I use the Discussions Index Page? will have any helpful information for you, but it might not hurt to look through it. When you go into either of those topics you highlighted, are you able to tell when your students last responded to those topics? Maybe that will give you an idea of when the last response was. You might need to reach out to Canvas Support to get more help on why those dates aren’t showing up on the Discussions index page. How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor?
