Says my email is already in use, when pairing to observe in Canvas

Canvas didn't allow me to pair to observe my children's accounts on my gmail account, but did allow it on my yahoo account. I prefer using my gmail. How can I find out how my gmail is "already in use"? Can an account be looked up under that email?

Hey there,

There may be duplicate accounts for you but this is an issue you'll want to talk to your school district about.  This is a forum of Canvas users around the world and not only do we not know that school your children are in, none of us likely have access to that system either.  Check with your school district I bet they can quickly figure out what the issue is and get it corrected.
