How do I make comments on the document submitted i speed grader? Like highlight, edit, strike out etc

Hi again Cheryl - Discussions are another matter altogether. Unfortunately, you cannot annotate discussion replies in SpeedGrader. I helped another Canvas user with a very similar question not too long ago and included a link to a Feature Idea regarding this. Please take a look at https://community.canvaslms.com/thread/44141-unable-to-editproof-discussion-board-entries .
Hi @koski Welcome to the Canvas Community. There is an outstanding overview of how to do this here: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-15081-4152719763
It sounds like you may be fairly new to Canvas, and allow me to mention that as you are learning the system, Canvas is (in my own opinion) second to none when it comes to updating their documentation in a timely manner and providing lots of information. You can get to it by clicking HELP (lower left within Canvas) and then Search the Canvas Guides and from there clicking Canvas>>Canvas Guides>>Instructor Guide .
Hope this helps, Cheryl.
Hello Ken,
I have used canvas. I looked through the manuals. I want to know how to get the tool bars when they don’t appear. I wanted to make comments in the discussions in speed grader and the tool bar does not appear. Do you know how to get them when it is not showing in the speed grader?

Hello Ken,
Thank you for letting me know that this cannot be done in Canvas. I too wish the tool was available in Discussions in order to point out where a student is in err without the tnire group seeing the comment.
Very respectfully,
Cheryl
