Student Assignment Submission Locked - prompted to log in?

Hello,

A teacher created an assignment, simple submission type >  online > text entry. > due date tonight at 11:50 pm. When the student goes to the assignment in the module (which is unlocked and published) they can open the assignment, view the details, and in the center in an image of a paper with a red lock and the text below "Submission Locked" and "Log in to Submit" with a blue login button that takes the student back to their dashboard - not sure why this is happening...

Hello,

I would submit a Canvas help ticket. In Canvas click the "?" and then "Report a Problem". I would include a direct link to the example assignment and include the student ID as well.
If you have a screenshot, attach that as well.
