Transferring course announcements to new course

Hello, I've always been able to transfer all announcements from a previous course to a new course in my past experiences and can't seem to find this option in my Canvas course now. I don't have a settings button. Is there another way to transfer all announcements at once (but not post them all at once)? Or do I need to transfer each announcement manually and individually?

Hi Lori,

First not having the "Setting" button isn't the norm and maybe hidden/removed by your institution. I would recommend reaching out to them for assistance as to why you're unable to see that button.  Without having access to that button the only way to get #announcments‌ from one course to another is to copy them one at at a time.

Hi lori.rawleighand welcome to the Community!  I agree with  @bneporadny .  Not being able to see the settings tab in a course where you are a teacher is not normal.  Your institution, like Brian said, may be able to help fix this.  A couple of other things you might try are, 1) make sure that you are a teacher in the course in which the announcements live; 2) try in another web browser as sometimes one browser (Chrome vs Firefox for example) works better than another; 3) contact Canvas Support since they could also check and see what may be happening.
