beta & test

For those Admins who have beta and test environments along with prod in Canvas. 

My understanding is that beta updates completely on a weekly basis wiping out all data and configuration settings that may have been changed while testing.  So beta then has the same data, users, courses, configuration, LTIs, settings, etc as prod. 

I'm not entirely sure about test though.  I know it's refreshed on a monthly or so basis.  Does the refresh of test clone prod as well?  Does it wipe everything out?  Does it just refresh data?  Are the API and LTI configurations & settings left alone during the refresh?
