Hi @sanajouejati - First, you want to create assignment groups to group your assignments into the groups that you want percentages for (such as HOMEWORK, EXAMS, DISCUSSIONS, etc.). That is covered in this online lesson: How do I add an assignment group in a course? You can then move any existing assignments you have created into the appropriate groups. Explanations for doing that are linked to within that page.
Next, you can create percentages for each assignment group, which is covered here: How do I weight the final course grade based on assignment groups? One thing you have to realize is that within each group, the points that each assignment is worth are still important! A 10-point discussion will be worth twice as much as a 5-point discussion within the DISCUSSIONS assignment group.
