It seems the new gradebook does not mute assignments the same way the old one did while using turnitin. Is there a bug between the two platforms? I've done everything right, and students can see me grading still as I use turnitin, not speedgrader. This never was the case before. The short term fix, change the post date on the turnitin side, but if course, the gradebook is now more work for teachers + having to do this on top of it. Any idea of Canvas is aware of this bug and plans to fix it? If anyone has any help with this, please email me amanda.harrison@csun.edu
thanks!
Hi Amanda, we are aware of this as well, although I think it only relates to Turnitin as an external tool, and not the plagiarism framework. So with this in mind we created recommendations for both. Happy to share these. A bit more information here on the two Turnitin 'set-ups' that I am aware of in Canvas > Turnitin Help | Which version of Canvas do you use?
Thanks for the note back!
yes, it is with external tool. I have decades of rubrics and quickmarks in there, so will never quit it.
I have put a band aid on it and just moved the post date on the native turnitin site.
Any other better fix?
