Cohort in Cohort concept

Hi All, I have been asked for something that I am not sure is possible.  I essentially need to group a few levels down.  Originally I suggested this:

- Sub Account

- Course

- Cohort

However for this particular solution they would like to avoid sub accounts.  So is there a way I can have something below a cohort, or in between Course and Cohort to further group students?

Hi there,

You can create multiple Sections of students within a course:

1. Go into a course

2. Select Settings in the left-side menu

3. Select Sections at the top next to Course Details

You can add as many as you want. You can even create different assignments/quizzes for different sections of students within a course.

Hi sgiedieviells,

Firstly thank you very much.  I will look into this, but can you have sections in sections, cohorts in sections or sections in cohorts?  Essentially I need a way to break down further than 1 sub group.  

So you have something like:

- course

- subgroup 1

- subgroup 1.1

- subgroup 1.2

- subgroup 2

Does that make sense?

Ok, so my original idea of System\Sub-Account\Course\Cohort[Section] has been accepted by the looks.

From my research I cant do what they wanted me to do.
