Will I be able to toggle on Canvas Career at a subaccount level so that I can apply the new experience to a subset of courses and users?
Yes, you will be able to toggle Canvas Career on at the subaccount level so that you can meet your unique needs.
Will I be able to toggle back to traditional Canvas if it's determined that Canvas Career doesn't meet my needs? If so, is there data loss associated with that?
Yes, you can switch experiences at any time; however, you will lose the data associated with features that are specific to the Canvas Career experience.
Can I use some of the features in Career in my Canvas Academic experience?
No; Canvas Career and Canvas Academic are distinct product experiences.
Can IgniteAI be enabled/disabled like AI features can be in Canvas Academic?
No; Canvas Career has been built with AI at its core and does not support the disabling of AI features at this time.
Will Canvas Career APIs be documented?
Canvas Career uses a combination of existing, documented Canvas APIs and a handful of new services that are not currently documented. We will update the FAQs if and when documentation is made available for the new endpoints.
Is Canvas Career a different product or is it part of Canvas LMS?
Canvas Career is a distinct LMS experience, with different pricing than Canvas Academic.
Does Canvas Career support all languages?
Canvas Career currently only supports English; however, we will support the same languages as Canvas Academic before our GA release.
Will Studio, Catalog, and Credentials integrate with Canvas Career?
Yes, these products can all be used with Canvas Career.
Does Canvas Career support LTI?
Yes, but Canvas Career does not support all placements that exist in Canvas Academic today. Currently it supports the following placements:
- RCE button
- Assignment Selection
- Module Item
- Course Navigation (coming soon)
