Can't see groups in Commons

I just created a group in Commons. I added a couple of test teachers. When I masquerade as one and try to share something to Commons, the group is not an option. I only can share to myself or the institution.
I've looked over the Admin section of the Commons Guide and can't see what the problem is.
On a side note, is there any way of telling if an instructor has shared content with the institution or just themselves.
In stats, I can see who has shared to Commons, but from the list I couldn't tell who they shared it with.
