Commons API - List all Resources

I am trying to utilize the Commons API to retrieve a list of all of the resources that our District has in Commons. 

I'm using https://lor.instructure.com/api/resources?size=8000&q=DistrictName to get the list of resources and I'm getting conflicting results. The above end point appears to return the number of records that exist when you access commons via Canvas. When I go to Admin>Stats within commons I get a very different number. (3800 records -> 7000+ records).

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two screens? Ultimately, I'm trying to automate some reports to weed through stale content and I'm looking of resource name, author name, when the content was created and last updated as well as number of downloads.
