Hi,
2 years ago we created a LTI 1.1 application using Assignment view as placement option. This was working perfectly, we also had control over the width & height of the iframe, in some cases we could set the height to 0 pixels.
Last year we wanted to upgrade to LTI 1.3, but discovered the iframe suddenly had a fixed minimum, so our solution didn't work, so we kept LTI 1.1 for the time being.
We are currently working on new features and discovered that from 20 jan 2025 the iframe wouldn't load anymore on the Canvas beta environment. This is the environment we are using for testing purposes and is linked to our application's test environment.
We now upgraded the application to LTI 1.3, but can't get it to work on the Canvas beta environment, and we can't figure out why. The iframe is not being loaded at all. I can embed the iframe manually in the assignment description, then it works (most of the time). I do see there is a new UI for the Canvas rubrics.
Today we configured the Canvas production environment to use our application's test environment, and hurrah, it works.
So wondering, is there still a bug in our application, perhaps a feature on Beta that hasn't been rolled-out to production that's interfering. Or could there be a bug on the Canvas beta environment?
The fear is that when Canvas production gets updated, it will also break our current production LTI 1.1 application (as it also did with the beta environment). So we can now deploy our LTI 1.3 version, but if that also doesn't work, we will have a problem.
Is there anyone from Canvas that can shed some light?
Kind regards
