When are files available through the Canvas Data Portal updated?

We would like to use the data available through the Canvas Data Portal to generate additional reports not available with standard Canvas reports. This application is/would come in the form of a server which periodically downloads the latest available data through the Data Portal API.

However it is not clear to us when data files are updated. If we monitor the web page, listing those files, there doesn't seem to be a clear pattern. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Alternatively, is there an endpoint we might have overlooked that tells us there are new files available?

We are PST timezone, and new dumps are generally available around 4-5PM. From reading around here, I think East coasters see the files later in the day. I have our download task set for 6PM. However, we don't use the UI list of files just How to Use the Canvas Data CLI Tool  and some bash wrappers.
