If you click the Assign To button at the top left of an Assignment, you can't see the full name of the sections*, and if you click the name, the section gets removed (unassigned). You can hover and the name appears in a pop up, but you would need to hover over each section name, which is time consuming especially for teachers with many sections. To make things more complicated, even if sections have the same Due Date, they are listed separately. *Note that our section names can be long as they have the course name (some course names are longer than others), the period, and the teacher's last name.
Please do not truncate the Section Name -- allow longer Section names to be viewed in the Assign To tray
