[Assignments] Pop-up or option for assignment submission and quizzes

Problem statement:

My university requires us to have students submit the Honor Pledge with all academic work turned in for grading on Canvas. Currently, we have to use a workaround, as there is no option on Canvas to require agreement with the honor pledge before beginning a quiz or submitting an assignment.

Proposed solution:

I would like an option in Canvas to include a statement customized by the user/teacher/instructor, that requires the student to either type their name or initials in a text box to indicate their agreement with and acknowledgment of the statement. For example, before a student is allowed to begin working on a quiz, a box would appear, with the customized text: "I affirm that I will not give or receive any unauthorized help on this quiz/exam, and that all work will be my own." Below the customized text would be a text entry box, with instructions above that say something like, "Please type your name/initials in the box below to indicate that you agree with this statement." The student would type their name or initials, and then Canvas would take the student to the quiz to begin the quiz. The process would be the same with submitted assignments. Before a student is allowed to upload, Canvas would present the customized text with a text entry box for the student to type their name/initials to acknowledge the customized text. Then the student would be taken to the screen where they can upload their assignment. Our current workaround is to insert an additional question on a quiz with the text and a text box for the student's acknowledgment. For uploaded assignments, we have to put in the instructions that the student must type out the honor pledge for the assignment and their name/initials. It would be immensely helpful if Canvas included this as an option, as the workarounds are clumsy and inefficient.
