Currently course copy allows a date shift to a new section that tends to shift the first Monday to the first Monday, instead of the first day to the first day. The shifted days end up oddly stacked out of sequence in semesters that begin on different days.
Allow an option to treat the date distribution as proportions of the semester instead of focusing on the day of the week. Counting the number of days scheduled in each semester, allows the schedule to begin with the first activity occurs on the first day, the second activity occurs a proportionate distance further into the semester, and so on. That way the new semester can be longer or shorter and start on different days of the week.
